OUR MISSION

Village Clay’s mission is to inspire through the ceramic arts and foster creative expression through education, exploration, collaboration, and community.

Pottery is the perfect tactile pastime for this moment in time and a welcome break from the digital world. Clay enhances concentration, creativity and mindfulness. Our approach to the arts of ceramics focuses on simplicity, relaxed instruction and experimentation.

Clay is a highly versatile medium, allowing makers to learn myriad techniques, including throwing on the potter’s wheel, hand-sculpted pots, slab pots (created by joining pieces of flattened clay) and pots made by pinching or coiling clay.

OUR ARTISTIC VALUES

We want our studio to feel inviting, warm, creative, and inclusive. We believe every artist needs an adequate space in which to create, and that space should inspire and support their creative process. We also understand how important it is for the place to have just the right environment, and that is what we strive to provide at Village Clay. If you’re looking for a place that nurtures your artistic journey, look no further: we’re here and we can’t wait to see what you can create.
